Bitsensing Joins Forces with NXP to Revolutionize Scalable Radar Solutions Across Multiple Industries

Bitsensing has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NXP Semiconductors to develop innovative radar solutions designed to cater to various industries, including automotive, smart cities, robotics, and healthcare.
This partnership combines NXP’s advanced radar chipsets with bitsensing’s expertise in radar technology and software to create high-performance, scalable radar systems. Bitsensing plans to utilize its in-depth knowledge of NXP’s radar chipsets to accelerate the development of next-generation radar solutions, providing customers with pre-development support and significantly reducing overall development timelines. Lead customers are already testing pre-developed samples featuring NXP’s SAF85xx automotive radar one-chip family.
The collaboration signifies a milestone for bitsensing, particularly in delivering radar solutions to the automotive sector, contributing to the creation of smarter and safer vehicles globally. Additionally, the two companies are working on radar systems tailored for various applications, such as smart city traffic monitoring, healthcare-focused sleep monitoring, and robotic solutions.

The partnership focuses on solutions powered by NXP’s chipsets, such as 4D Imaging Radar, Front Radar, and Corner Radar. These solutions address key applications like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV), as well as smart city traffic monitoring through the Traffic Insight Monitoring Sensor (TIMOS) and sleep monitoring via the Wellness Radar.
