MediaTek, the world’s leading fabless semiconductor company, has showcased its latest innovations at the 14th Chapter of its Technology Diaries event, aptly titled “This Chip Changes Everything.” With a portfolio powering nearly 2 billion connected devices annually, MediaTek reinforced its leadership in mobile, automotive, and IoT technologies, unveiling advancements in Generative AI, satellite connectivity, automotive solutions, 5G, and smart clusters.
At the event, MediaTek highlighted its flagship Dimensity 9400 chipset, which powers the new OPPO Find X8 Pro, along with other groundbreaking technologies aimed at enhancing connectivity and performance across sectors.
Revolutionizing IoT and Automotive Technologies
MediaTek demonstrated its leadership in next-generation automotive solutions with the Dimensity Automotive platform, featuring collaborations with Indian OEMs such as Tata Punch.eV and Skoda Slavia. Smart clusters for EV two-wheelers were also on display, including the Kinetic Green ELuna and Kinetic Green Flex, powered by JioThings Limited under the “Made in India” initiative.
“The Indian market is a great example of how MediaTek is making incredible technology experiences more accessible,” said Finbarr Moynihan, General Manager and Vice President of Corporate Marketing at MediaTek. He emphasized MediaTek’s role as the No. 1 mobile SoC provider in India and globally, with the Dimensity 9400 chipset driving the next wave of AI innovation, offering features such as on-device LoRA training and video generation.

The spotlight was on MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400 chipset, which powers devices like the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Built on Arm’s v9.2 CPU architecture, the Dimensity 9400 delivers unmatched performance with an All-Big Core design, advanced GPU, and NPU capabilities for next-level gaming and generative AI experiences. Peter Dohyung Lee, Head of Product Strategy at OPPO, highlighted how the chipset is redefining AI capabilities in modern smartphones.
