In a major move to boost India’s Industry 4.0 capabilities, UST, a global digital transformation company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Works, India’s largest prototyping center. The collaboration aims to supercharge innovation in manufacturing, automotive, and semiconductor sectors by uniting digital engineering and advanced prototyping under one roof.
This strategic partnership blends UST’s systems integration and AI capabilities with T-Works’ physical product development ecosystem — creating a “phygital” platform that brings hardware and software closer than ever.
What the Partnership Brings
- Up to 45% faster hardware-to-digital integration
- Estimated 40% reduction in R&D costs through shared-risk innovation and joint IP models
- Launchpad for startups to scale technologies in Automotive AI, Semiconductor ATE frameworks, and Smart Factory systems
UST will serve as a systems integrator, offering full-stack digital solutions and deploying resources directly at T-Works’ Hyderabad-based facility. This includes access to:
- AI-optimized CNC workflows
- Early GaN power device prototypes
- Subsidized semiconductor IP libraries
The collaboration also paves the way for joint IP development, such as 5G-enabled Industrial IoT modules and an accelerator program for automotive suppliers.
Leadership Speaks
Alexander Varghese, COO of UST, emphasized the vision:
“We’re creating a powerful ‘phygital’ innovation platform that blends physical prototyping with digital simulation — empowering startups and enterprises alike to bring breakthrough ideas to market faster and cheaper.”
Joginder Tanikella, CEO of T-Works, added:
“This is a catalytic moment for India’s manufacturing and automotive sectors. Our startups will now have access to UST’s global customer base, giving them unprecedented market reach.”
Why It Matters
As India pushes deeper into electronics, mobility, and advanced manufacturing, partnerships like this one are critical to:
- Support MSMEs and startups with access to cutting-edge tools
- Lower the barrier for high-impact product development
- Accelerate AI adoption in sectors traditionally slow to digitize
By building an end-to-end pipeline from prototype to production, UST and T-Works are setting the stage for India to become a global innovation hub in Industry 4.0.
