US and Chennai-based embedded software engineering company, EmbedUR, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with semiconductor leader Synaptics to develop Edge AI solutions. This collaboration aims to transform industries by bringing low-power, low-latency AI processing directly to devices.

The partnership will focus on applications in image segmentation, facial recognition, and pose estimation. These technologies will enhance edge-based AI capabilities for smart homes, driver assistance systems, medical monitoring, and industrial manufacturing. By embedding advanced AI models within chips, the solutions are designed to operate efficiently without relying on cloud processing.

EmbedUR’s flagship innovation, the Model Nova AI platform, is central to this initiative. This platform offers pre-trained models, real-world application blueprints, and datasets, enabling designers to deploy edge AI solutions with minimal expertise. When combined with Synaptics’ microcontrollers and processors, this partnership will deliver practical and scalable solutions catering to business and consumer needs in the coming years.

Rajesh Subramaniam, Founder and CEO of EmbedUR, expressed optimism about the collaboration, saying,

He emphasized that this effort will make AI processing technology both accessible and affordable, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises in India.

EmbedUR has invested approximately ₹100 crore as part of its ₹500 crore, five-year investment plan. This significant funding underscores the company’s commitment to advancing AI and IoT innovations in the Indian market.
