Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd, a central public sector undertaking (PSU), has announced an equity investment of ₹1 crore in NapTapGo, a startup focused on redefining affordable hospitality through innovative ‘pod’ hotels. The investment comes under Balmer Lawrie’s annual startup fund program and is part of its commitment to supporting innovation and the startup ecosystem.
NapTapGo introduces a unique concept of affordable yet luxurious pod hotels, catering to short-stay travelers with compact, capsule-like accommodations. These hotels combine affordability with efficiency, offering basic amenities within a space-saving design that is gaining popularity globally.
AI and IoT to Enhance Guest Experience
As part of its mission to revolutionize the hospitality sector, NapTapGo plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) into its facilities. These advanced technologies aim to enhance hygiene, improve quality, and elevate the overall customer experience.
This investment aligns with India’s Startup India initiative, with Balmer Lawrie partnering with IIM Lucknow’s EIC incubator to provide startups like NapTapGo with mentorship, incubation support, and vital industry connections.
