AI Vehicle Inspections Surge as UVeye Secures $191M for Expansion

The AI-powered automated vehicle inspection industry is accelerating, with UVeye securing $191 million in new funding to expand globally and scale its manufacturing capabilities.

UVeye, headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey, and Israel, has now raised a total of $380.5 million, following a $100 million Series D round in 2023. The latest investment was led by Woven Capital, the growth fund of Toyota, with $41 million in equity and a $150 million debt facility structured by Trinity Capital.

Revolutionizing Vehicle Inspections with AI

UVeye offers what it calls an “MRI for vehicles,” using AI-driven scanning technology to inspect cars within seconds. By leveraging cameras, machine learning, and data analytics, the system can quickly assess tires, underbody components, exteriors, and other critical parts for defects, missing components, or anomalies—without human intervention.

Currently, nearly one million vehicles are scanned monthly through UVeye’s partnerships with dealerships, rental companies, fleet operators, and manufacturers. The company has also earned several prestigious awards, including being named one of Time’s Best Inventions of 2024.

Scaling to Meet Growing Market Demand

With hundreds of installations planned for 2025, UVeye’s CEO Amir Hever emphasized the company’s rapid growth:

“UVeye is redefining the standard for vehicle inspections, and this investment from Woven Capital underscores the global shift towards automated and AI-driven solutions. With hundreds of new installations planned for 2025, including for dealerships, major fleets, car manufacturers, rental services, manufacturing lines, and seaport inspections, we’re scaling at a pace that reflects the market’s enormous hunger for our technology.”

The $150 million debt facility includes an initial $100 million commitment, with an option for an additional $50 million specifically allocated to expanding production.

The Future of AI in Automotive Inspections

UVeye’s technology aligns with the broader trend of automated diagnostics and predictive maintenance, which is transforming automotive service, fleet management, and manufacturing.

According to Will Fung, Principal at Woven Capital:

“UVeye’s platform will help deepen the connection between automotive service providers and their customers by delivering transparency and actionable insights that modernize the service experience.”

With AI-driven vehicle inspections gaining traction worldwide, UVeye is positioned to set new industry standards and reshape how automotive inspections and maintenance are conducted in the digital age.
