In a bold step toward democratizing the benefits of artificial intelligence, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched AI Pragya, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to train 10 lakh citizens in cutting-edge technologies like AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity.
But this isn’t just about skilling youth—it’s about reimagining governance, agriculture, healthcare, and education through the power of digital transformation.
What Is AI Pragya?
Launched by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, AI Pragya is one of India’s largest public digital literacy drives focused specifically on emerging tech. The goal is simple but powerful: equip people from all walks of life with the tools they need to succeed in the digital economy.
“This is a significant milestone that marks UP’s leap into the era of AI,” said the CM. “It will unlock new job avenues and enhance technological efficiency in government, farming, education, and healthcare.”
What Will Citizens Learn?
The programme offers certification in four key domains:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Data Analytics
- Cybersecurity
Training will be delivered through global tech partners like:
- Microsoft
- Intel
- Amazon
- HCL
- Wadhwani Foundation
- 1M1B
The initiative will reach farmers, women’s self-help groups, students, teachers, rural entrepreneurs, and public service operators, with special emphasis on rural inclusion.
At Think Binary, we’ve always believed that India’s real AI revolution starts at the grassroots. The AI Pragya scheme:
- Validates the urgent need for structured upskilling in AI & IoT
- Opens doors for collaboration with educational institutions across districts
- Creates demand for localized content, vernacular delivery, and real-world use-cases—areas where Think Binary already excels
This is the moment to introduce:
- AI Industry Readiness Tests to schools and colleges
- Customized learning roadmaps for rural students and working professionals
- Pilot programs aligned with AI Pragya to test and scale local talent
Shalaka’s IoT-based solutions can amplify the impact of this program in:
- Smart Farming: Real-time crop health, soil condition, and weather-based decisions
- Healthcare: Remote diagnostics for PHCs and rural clinics
- Education: Connected classrooms with ML-powered learning insights
- e-Governance: Real-time monitoring of services via IoT dashboards
This is a golden opportunity to co-develop, pilot, and showcase end-to-end GovTech + IoT solutions in collaboration with the Center for e-Governance (CEG) and District Magistrates leading the implementation.
AI Pragya is not just a scheme. It’s a blueprint for India’s digital awakening—one that combines policy vision, public-private partnerships, and citizen-first design.
If you’re building tools for the next billion—whether you’re an educator like Think Binary or a solution provider like Shalaka Connected Devices—now is the time to engage.
