Infineon Technologies AG has introduced new isolated gate driver ICs designed to enhance electric vehicle (EV) traction inverters as part of its EiceDRIVER™ family. These AEC-qualified, ISO 26262-compliant devices support Infineon’s HybridPACK™ Drive G2 Fusion module, combining silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies for improved efficiency and performance.

- Optimized for IGBT & SiC Technologies: Supports next-gen IGBT and SiC power stages for higher power efficiency and reliability.
- High Power Output:
- 1EDI3025AS, 1EDI3026AS, 1EDI3035AS – 20 A output, suitable for high-power inverters (up to 300 kW+).
- 1EDI3028AS, 1EDI3038AS – 15 A output, ideal for entry-level BEVs, PHEVs, and externally excited synchronous machines (EESM).
- Tunable Soft-Off Feature: Enhances short-circuit protection, supporting both SiC and IGBT technologies.
- Advanced Safety & Monitoring Features:
- Integrated DESAT protection and Overcurrent Protection (OCP) for better fault detection and prevention.
- Primary and secondary safe-state interface for versatile safety system concepts.
- 12-bit delta-sigma ADC with integrated current source for accurate temperature monitoring.
