Amaravati AI+ Campus: Smart, Scalable, Strategic
Spread across 35 acres, the upcoming AI+ campus is being developed in two phases with a total outlay of ₹1,000 crore over five years. Phase one will host 3,000 students; phase two will scale capacity beyond 7,000.
Programs will include:
- Twinning undergraduate courses
- Co-tutelle PhDs with international institutes
- Master’s in AI/ML, Innovation, and Strategy
The campus will be IoT-integrated, AI-powered, and modular by design—featuring smart infrastructure and sustainable systems that align with future-ready education.
Project Vistaar: ₹1,219 Cr for Infra and Labs
Under Project Vistaar, BITS will upgrade labs, research facilities, and learning spaces across its Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. ₹60 crore alone is earmarked for upgrading undergraduate labs, with total student intake projected to grow from 18,700 to 26,000 by 2030–31. This also paves the way for interdisciplinary programs aligned with global needs—from sustainability to digital transformation.
BITS Pilani Digital: Expanding Access to 100,000+ Learners
BITS has formally launched its digital arm to deliver flexible, industry-focused programs. In the next five years, BITS Pilani Digital will offer:
- 32 programs (11 degrees, 21 certificates)
- Real-world project work
- Career support
- Optional campus immersions
The platform is designed to scale impact without compromising on quality—targeting over 1 lakh learners across India and abroad.
Purpose-Driven Innovation at Scale
“These efforts are not just about scale, but about building a transformative ecosystem,” said Chancellor Kumar Mangalam Birla, emphasizing inclusivity, innovation, and excellence as key drivers of BITS’ new phase.
Vice Chancellor V Ramgopal Rao added, “We are reaffirming our vision to create an institution deeply connected to industry, and responsive to the world’s changing needs.” From AI-driven labs to online microcredentials, BITS Pilani is proving that elite education can evolve with the times—and shape them too.
